"Tommy" Allen, age 80, of Smithfield, died
Thursday, May 03, 2012.
Born in Johnston County on June 13, 1931 to the
late David Monroe and Lyda Partin Allen.
Mr. Allen was a US Army Veteran.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm Saturday,
May 05, 2012 in the Minshew Funeral Home
Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Joe Hester.
The family will recieve friends immediatly
following the service.
Survivors include Son, Phillip Anthony Allen and
wife Janine of Smithfield; Daughter, Susan Chears
and husband Ray of Smithfield; Brothers, Jessie
Allen of Lakeland, Georgia, and Billy Ray Allen of
Smithfield; Sisters, Louise Simmons and Ann
Underwood both of Smithfield and Ella Ruth Tyler
of Shyler, Virginia; Special Sister-In-Law,
Carolyn Allen. Five Grandchildren, Jennifer Chears
Smith, Christopher Adam Chears, Brandon Lee
Allen, Harrison Mitchell Allen, and Colton
Fielding Allen; Two Great-Grandchildren, Celiah
Smith and Aniston Kate Chears.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Lee
Allen.
