More detail on this person: LtCol James Aldworth USMC (Ret), 81, of Hilton Head Plantation died Friday, June 20. A native of Cape May, N.J., he was the son of the late Charles and Margaret O'Hara Aldworth. He and his wife moved to Hilton Head Island in 1988.

He was a graduate of Oklahoma State University and received his Master's degree from Stony Brook University. He retired from Grumman Aerospace in 1987. An USMC aviator for 25 years, he served his country in combat in World War II, the Korean War and was the Commanding Officer of HMM-362, the "Ugly Angels", in Vietnam from 1 September 1965 to 22 April 1966.

"Whiskey Jim" was the epitome of a "Marine's Marine". He was the BEST Commanding Officer I had in 26 years commissioned service.

Semper Fi, sir. RIP, ClipClop13
