More detail on this person: Services for Larry Neal "Rusty" Ammons, 65, will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday at the B-L Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Don Marshall and Rev. David Torrey officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 pm in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the B-L Presbyterian Church 103 Mitchell Street B-L, SC 29006, or Tri County Hospice 166 Stoneridge Drive Columbia, SC or American Cancer Society 128 Stonemark Lane Columbia, SC 29210. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel is assisting the family.

Rusty passed away Thursday December 15, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Lumberton, NC, a son of the late Neal Arch and Daphne Dale Dixon Ammons. He was a member of the B-L Presbyterian Church where he was an Elder, a member of the Ponderosa Country Club and was a member of the Ridge Spring American Legion Post. Rusty was a Vietnam Army Veteran, a retired Insurance Agent and retired owner and operator of Green Acres Landscaping.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Quick Pugh Ammons, son, Tyler Neal Ammons and fiancée Jayme of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, daughters, Sheri (Bryan) Brown of Greensboro, NC, Renee Pugh of Augusta, GA, sisters, Betty (Larry) Rogers and Dale (Tim) Richards of Charlotte, NC, 3 grandchildren.
