More detail on this person: ARMSTRONG, JAMES W., 64, of Hammond, LA, formerly of Louisville, passed away October 26, 2009 after a long illness. He is survived by his children, Kelly J. Armstrong and Jeffrey T. Armstrong, of Louisville; wife, Lynn; stepchildren, Becky Harper (Robert) and Jimmy Schroeder (Jackie); four step grandchildren; a brother, Fred (Kay); sister Joyce Thompson (Jeff); father, Frederick Armstrong; and several nieces and nephews. He earned degrees from Easter Kentucky University and the University of Louisville. He was a helicopter pilot in the Vietnam War. In Louisville, he was employed by Reichhold Chemical and Trammel- Crow. A military funeral will be held Friday, with interment at Port Hudson National Cemetery.
