More detail on this person: ANDERSON, JOHN E., 64, of Jeffersontown made his transition on Monday, December 27, 2004, after a short term battle with cancer. John retired from General Electric at age 55 and has worked at Johnson Controls for the past nine years. He is also a retired lieutenant colonel from the 100th Division Army Reserves, 412th Medical Detachment. He is survived by his wife, Betty Anderson; four children, Jenny Abell, Adrienne Westerfield, Breck Anderson and Jake Anderson; two stepchildren, Devon and Collin Stinson; eight grandchildren, J.T., Jimmy and Joey Abell, Taylor, Lauren and Nolan Westerfield, Brynan Anderson and Ashley Anderson; his mother, Catherine Anderson; sisters, Jean Gordon and Sharen Shelby; and brother, David Anderson. His funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Foreman Funeral Home, 10600 Taylorsville Rd., Jeffersontown, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society.
