More detail on this person: Mike and I graduated from Andalusia High School the same year and had known each other for years. While I was going thru rotary wing flight school prior to being sent to Vietnam in July of 68 Mike would come over to our trailer and visit often. Mike died while I was was in Nam.

He was married to Lucy Prestwood from Andalusia, no children, lived in Enterprise, Al. His huey hit a large oak tree head on while flying nap of the earth to stay below the storm. As luck would have it, it was the only damn tree in the pasture, which was the size of Lowe Army Airfield. He is buried in a lone plot in Andalusia. We could not get Lucy to bury him at Arlington, where he belongs to this day.

From: Myers Armstrong

Crashed in UH-1B at 10 P.M. 2 miles from Matteson Range, Ft Rucker In heavy thunderstorm with students I.M. Baker & H.M. Kelley.
