More detail on this person: He has been a retired IP and safety officer with the Dallas Army Aviation Flight Facility, TX ARNG and had retired in 2005 and moved to his lake house on Lake Athens. Jim was hard to get to know and harder to get close to. But once you became his friend, he was open and showed a great sense of love, friendship and humor that he withheld from others not so blessed. During check rides, few were harder to satisfy than Jim as he took his job as safety officer and IP very seriously. This resulted in a safety program that has accounted the Texas "Hookmasters" Chinook Company to maintain a record of no class A accidents since 1972. A true friend, a competent aviator, a loving husband and family man. My Pal! My Hero! Rest in peace.
