More detail on this person: Randolph "Randy" O. Brooke, 67, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away on February 1, 2014.

He was born January 14, 1947, a son of Joseph and Betty Brooke, Vero Beach, Florida. Randy grew up in Beaver, Pa. and graduated from Beaver Area High School in 1964. Randy was senior class president and a member of the National Honor Society. Upon high school graduation, Randy attended Grove City College and then enlisted in the United States Army. He went on to complete Officers Candidate School, Armor Branch School and U.S. Army Aviation School. Randy obtained the rank of Captain while serving during the Vietnam War as a gun ship pilot with the 170th Assault Helicopter Company.

In addition to his parents, Randy is survived by four brothers, Will, Joe, Tim and Scott; three nieces and four nephews. A military service will be held at the Bushnell National Cemetery in Florida at a future date.

Memorial contributions may be made in Randy's name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
