More detail on this person: Felix Dixon Bates Perello beloved husband of Peggy Ruth went to be with His Lord and Savoir, Jesus Christ on April 12, 2014. He is the beloved father of Wanda Kay Barron (Mike), Lloyd David Woodard (Judy), Sean Wade Woodard (late Kellie), Christal Faith, and Sebastian Wade. Preceded in death by his father Felix R. Bates of La Lima, Honduras. Survived by his mother Irene Perello Bates of La Lima, Honduras. Two sisters Martha Irene Bates Levy (Samuel) and Sandra Isabel Bates Javier (late Orlando). Abuelo(grandfather) Bates was also survived by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Tio Tinson was survived by many nieces and nephews. Felix Bates was born in San Pedro Sula, Honduras on January 17, 1950. Dixon served God and ministered to many. He was a member of Grace Community Bible Church in Denham Springs, La. Upon immigrating to the United States he attended French Camp Academy in French Camp, MS. Felix served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Felix "El Frito Bandito" Bates was a Chief Warrant Officer 2, Aircraft Commander of the 240th Assault Helicopter Company, Greyhound/Kennel Keeper 13. Felix then was a pilot for the TAN Airlines of Honduras, worked for Schwegmann Giant Supermarkets, and Century 21 Realty. In lieu of flowers a benefit fund has been set up for Peggy and the children. Visitation: Family from 9:00am until 10:00am, friends from 10:00am until 11:00am, and the service beginning at 11:00am. Interment at 2:30pm at Biloxi National Cemetery 400 Veterans Ave. Biloxi, MS 39531. Serenity Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements. (985) 875-1131.
