More detail on this person: Thomas Joseph Blake born Dec. 21, 1936 in Harwood, MD, passed peacefully Aug. 20, 2016 with his daughters at his side. Honored US Army Chief Warrant Officer (Ret.), Vietnam War helicopter pilot, master mason and lifetime member of American Legion Post 141 of Annapolis. Preceded in death by parents Mary Downs-Sharps and Thomas Blake; siblings Henrietta Blake, Vivian Holland, Mary Moulden and William Blake, and grandson Thomas Joseph Blake, II. Survived by sons Thomas Joseph Blake, Jr. and Benson Blake; daughters Jina Blake, Janelle Henderson and husband Wayde, Janine Kempfer and husband Kurt, and Jillissa Lucas; brothers Henry, John, James, George Benson and Douglas Blake; sisters Katherine Scott, Ernestine Green and Lucille Blake; 14 Grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and additional relatives and friends. He was loved and will be missed. Funeral Monday, August 29th at First Mt. Zion Baptist Church 16622 Dumfries Rd, Dumfries VA 22025. Visitation 10-11:00 AM; Funeral Service 11:00 AM. Interment Monday, August 29th 1:00 PM at Quantico National Cemetery 18424 Joplin Road, Virginia 619, Triangle, VA 22172 -
