More detail on this person: Satellite Beach, Florida John Gerald Bugenske, Lt. Col. US Army, (Ret), 73, died on Sunday, August 6, 2006, in Melbourne, Florida. Born in Detroit, Mich. on July 30, 1933, he retired in 1978 and came to Brevard County after serving 25 years with the U.S. Army as a helicopter and fixed wing pilot. His career included two tours in Vietnam. Honors included Distinguished Flying Cross, two silver and three bronze stars. After his retirement from the military, he was a Real Estate Agent/Broker until 2003. John is survived by his wife of 49 years, Nancy; children, Michael (Mia) Bugenske, Paul (Ingrid) Bugenske, Patti (Guenter) Knapp and Joan Greene; grandchildren, David, Cole, Patrick, Steven, Jordan, Joshua, Marcus, Erin and Kellie; great-granddaughter, Americus; brothers, Ronald, Robin, Thomas and Timothy; and sister, Polly. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 10, 2006 at Beach Funeral Home East Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 11, 2006 at the funeral home with full military honors. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va. Beach Funeral Home East Chapel in Indian Harbour Beach entrusted with arrangements.
