More detail on this person: BRUSSTAR, Jacob L. III "Jay", 73, of St. Petersburg, passed away on Aug. 21, 2013. Jay was born in Philadelphia, PA. He lived in Mays Landing, NJ, until joining the U.S. Army. He was a helicopter pilot in Vietnam before retiring from the Army as Chief Warrant Officer 2. Jay worked for various Veterans organizations for 25 years and retired in 1997 from Paralyzed Veterans of America. He was a life member of Military Officers Association of America. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing & gardening. Jay had so much love for his family & friends, and will truly be missed. He was predec-eased by his parents, Jacob L. (Jr.) & Marguerite E. Brusstar; and his sister, Geraldine E. Costello. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, of 38 years; son, Gregory D. Brusstar; daughters, Donna L. Ison (Wade) and Debra E. Landosky; five grandchildren; a nephew; several nieces; great-nephews; & wonderful friends. A graveside service will be held Friday, Sept. 13th, at 2:15 pm, at Bay Pines National Cemetary with military honors.
