More detail on this person: Milton Reid Beland, Jr., age 67, of Murfreesboro passed away at March 15, 2005 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. A native of Wilson, North Carolina, he had lived in Murfreesboro for the past 20 years and retired in 1995 as an x-ray technician at VA Medical Center in Nashville. He was a warrant officer with the U. S. Army, a Helicopter Pilot, veteran of the Vietnam Era and awarded the Bronze Star and the Air Medal with Valor.

Mr. Beland was preceded in death by his parents; Milton Reid and Pattie Boswell Beland.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Crick Beland of Murfreesboro; sons Sandy Beland, Scott Beland both of Maryland and Daniel Norman of Murfreesboro; daughters Staci Schauman of Maryland and Rhonda Bolden of Murfreesboro and sister Marie Beland.

Graveside service will be 9:00 a.m. Friday at Middle TN State Veterans Cemetery in Nashville.

Visitation with the family will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Jennings and Ayers, 820 S. Church St. Murfreesboro, TN 37130 615 893-2422
