More detail on this person: James Bishop, 80, of Hampton, Georgia, passed away on September 2, 2012. Mr. Bishop was born on December 25, 1931. He served in the U.S. Army, and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He then became an ROTC instructor with Atlanta Public Schools.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Mooney Bishop of Hampton; daughters, Terry (Gary) Tutton of Stockbridge, Janet (Erich) Waller of Stockbridge, Carol Bishop of Hampton, and Becky (Mike) Neill of College Park; grandchildren, Chris Folds and Kelly Folds of Atlanta, Rachel Neill and Jake Neill of College Park, Allen Waller and Devin Waller of Stockbridge; sister, Doris Read (Corky) Taylor of Brentwood, Tennessee; brother, Johnny (Sharon) Bishop of Clarksville, TN; also, nieces and nephews.

Memorial service held on Wednesday, September 5 in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Rev. Dr. Ed Judy officiating. Graveside service held on Thursday, September 6 with full military honors, at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA.
