More detail on this person: Gerald A. Bernier
of Gainesville died Sunday at North Florida
Regional Medical Center. He was 73.
Mr. Bernier was born in Chicopee, Mass., and
moved to Gainesville a year ago from Hernando.
He retired from National Medical Care.
He retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years of
service.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Marlene
Bernier of Gainesville; sons David P. Bernier of
Massachusetts and Christopher A. Bernier of North
Carolina; a brother, Francis X. Bernier of
California; a sister, Joan Bernier of Connecticut;
and two grandchildren.
