More detail on this person: Robert E. Bell, Jr., 43, of Moore passed away Fri. Services will be at 2:30 P.M. Sun. in South Colonial Chapel with interment in Mt. Washington Cemetery in Independence MO. Mr. Bell was an Eagle Scott and Magna cum laude graduate of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. He was an FAA Academy graduate and a member of Mt. Washington Baptist Church in Independence. He was a retired US Army Lt. Col., having served 2 tours in Viet Nam and 3 years in Germany. While serving as pilot he was awarded a Silver and Bronze Star along with 52 air medals. He also received 3 Meritorious Service Awards. He was currently working for the FAA as an Air Space Flight Inspector Pilot. Survivors include his son, Monte Grahl of Clarksville, TN; a daughter, Ginger Alford of Lexington, KY; his mother, Vivian V. Bell of Sugar Creek, MO; brother, Scotty Bell of Lone Jack, MO; sister, Becky Bremerkamp of Lee's Summit, MO; his grandfather Guy W. Bell of Sugar Creek, MO and 4 grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to the church or charity of your choice.
