More detail on this person: Chief Warrant Officer (Retired) Talmadge L. Blanchard died Friday, Nov. 24, 2000, at his home in Williamsburg.

He was born in Ola, Ark., on Oct. 27, 1927. CWO Blanchard served with distinction in the U.S. Army and retired after 30 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Margareta Blanchard, and his daughter, Eleonore Blanchard, both of Williamsburg; and sisters-in-law, Irmgard and Christa of Germany. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert and Charles, and his sisters, Una, Nell and Dorothy.

A private memorial service will be held by Pastor C. Royce Horne at Heritage Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, in Arlington National Cemetery.
