More detail on this person: I am now very interested in his life, and in finding people who knew him. Unfortunately, when I was younger, I missed out on the opportunity to reach out to friends of his who were known to me - Grady Oxford and Dick Buxton, if those names are familiar - and now am in the position of contacting strangers.

My purpose is simple. I want to listen to what people have to say when I ask the question, "What do you remember about Cecil Blanton?", and to any other wisdom they might like to share.

Dad flew in 1967, C/Co, 229th, under the call sign 'Wagon Wheel 6'. I believe he would have been a captain or major at this time.
