MINERAL WELLS, Tex. (AP) - Officer candidate George C. Brown, 18, was killed Friday when his helicopter crashed on a training flight about a mile west of this North Texas city.

Brown was a student pilot at Army primary helicopter school at Ft. Wolters here and the son of George G. Brown of 7 Hoe Lane, Westbury, N.Y.

State police who investigated the crash said Brown, on a routine training mission, crashed on a rocky, brush covered-hillside just north of U.S. 180.
