More detail on this person: Donald Lewis Connin New Haven IN United States DONALD LEWIS CONNIN, 73, of New Haven, died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, at Parkview Hospital. Born in Wauseon, Ohio, he was the son of the late Roy and Winnita Connin. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church. The Vietnam War veteran retired as Chief Warrant officer W3 from the U.S. Army after 21 years of service. He was a member of Howard Bandelier V.F.W. Post 2457. After his military career he spent time working at Fleetwood Motor Homes and Continental Diamond Tool. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Maggie; daughter, Wanetta Davis of Mishawaka; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Gene Cutler of Coldwater, Mich.; grandchildren, Heather, Gene, Michael, Brian, and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Lily, Luke, and Jayden; brother, Larry Connin of Virginia; stepbrother, Larry Evans of Fort Wayne; and stepsister, Millie DeHaven of Fort Wayne. He was also preceded in death by two brothers; one stepbrother; and one stepsister. Service is 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. James Lutheran Church, 1720 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven, with calling one hour prior to service. The Rev. David Williamson officiating. Calling also from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 St. Rd. 930 E., New Haven. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Preferred memorials to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana or American Heart Association.
