More detail on this person: George Roger Crook Retired Col. George Roger Crook, 79, died Nov. 5, 2011, at VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach. He was born in Austin, Texas and lived in Vero Beach since 2001, coming from Rockledge. He graduated from Hardin-Simmons University at Abilene, Texas, and later received his master's of education from Johns Hopkins University, Homewood Campus in Baltimore, Md. He retired as a colonel after 26 years with Army Aviation, having served in Vietnam, Iran and Germany. Following his army retirement, he worked 19 years at Kennedy Space Center as a Lockheed project manager. He was a member of Military Officers Association and Army Aviation Association. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Nancy of Vero Beach; son, Carl W. Kuehner of Cocoa; and daughter, Ashley Morgan of Texas. Services: No local services are scheduled at this time. An inurnment with military honors will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home & Crematory in Vero Beach.
