More detail on this person: Mr. John William Carter, Sr., age 68, of Dover, TN, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, at his home. John was born in Loudon, TN, on October 16, 1945, the son of the late David Merrick Carter and Mary Halline Bedwell Carter. Upon his retirement a few years ago, John moved from southern Florida to the picturesque town of Dover in Stewart Co., where he his favorite pastimes, hunting and fishing. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. John is survived by his two sons, John (Michelle) Carter, Jr., of Avon, IN and Michael (Meyling) Carter of Columbia; his grandchildren, Katherine carter, Abigail Carter and Scott Carter; one brother, Francis "Red" (Becky) Carter of North Carolina along with nephews and nieces, Daniel Montgomery, Steven Carter, Brenda and Bonnie. Mr. Carter will be inurned in the Veteran's National Cemetery in Madison, TN.
