More detail on this person: Roger Thomas Courtney Roger Thomas Courtney, age 68 and a resident of Warsaw passed away Tuesday at the University of Cincinnati Hospital. Born June 1944, he is the son of Robert Thomas Courtney, surviving, and the late Dorothy Adams. Roger was also preceded in death by a daughter: Constance and a half-sister: Tanya Lynn Hulker. Roger was a mechanic and also worked for The Dorman Company in Warsaw. He also served his country in the United States Army Air Forces as a Pilot and became a Highly Decorated Veteran of the Vietnam War. Among his many commendations, Roger was a recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross; The Bronze Star Medal; Presidential Unit Citation, and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry, to name a few. Including his father, Roger is also survived by one daughter: Starlene Courtney; two brothers: Rick Courtney of Frankfort, Ky and Morris Courtney of Warsaw, Ky and one half-sister: Elizabeth Randolph of Evansville, In. Visitation will be held Friday, July 27th, from 10am until 2pm at the Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home in Warsaw. Funeral services will begin Friday at 2pm with Rev. Robert Courtney officiating. Burial will follow in the Warsaw Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Gallatin County EMS.
