More detail on this person: William A. Campbell, retired U.S. Army colonel, of Destin, Fla., passed away Wednesday Sept. 19, 2012. Bill hailed from Elizabethton, Tenn., and made his career in the Army. He started out as a rescue helicopter pilot, serving in Korea and Vietnam. He became a hospital administrator at various military hospitals and advanced to the rank of Colonel. After retiring from the Army, he worked in Saudi Arabia for seven years. He also helped open several hospitals and Abdu Dabi. "Mr. Bill" will be missed by family and friends.

National Cremation & Burial Society has been entrusted with the arrangements.
