More detail on this person: Gordon Everett DeGeest, 81, of Spring Hill; formerly of Minnesota, passed away August 13th, 2014.

Gordon was born in Leader, Minnesota to Everett and Ruth DeGeest on February 26,1933. He went to high school at Sacred Heart, and earned a Bachelor's Degree at Troy State University. He enlisted with the Army in 1953, and fulfilled his dream of flying, and retired in 1973 as a CW4. His flying career continued until retirement in 2012.

Gordon is preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Ruth, and brother Roger DeGeest.

Gordon is survived by his wife, Lynette DeGeest of Spring Hill; sons, Ronald & Larry DeGeest; grandchildren, Natalie Loranty, Stephanie Thomas and Rick DeGeest; and two great-grandchildren, Ellie Loranty and Jackson Thomas. He is also survived by three sisters and two brothers, Margaret Kull; Phyllis Yaeger; Donna Laidlaw; Norman DeGeest and Gerry DeGeest.
