More detail on this person: John (Jack) Dibble, Jr of Satellite Beach, FL. He was the son of John and Mary Walford Dibble. Jack enlisted in the Pennsylvania Horse Cavalry, continued in the Horse Drawn Artillery, attended West Point, was a WWII, U.S. Army veteran who served in a Tank Destroyer Battalion in Patton's Third Army and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. After the War, he became a Paratrooper, then an Aviator and attended the Army Command & General Staff School and the Army War College, was assigned as Deputy Commander of the 1st Aviation Brigade in Vietnam. He was awarded 2 Bronze Stars, a Purple Heart, a Silver Star, the Legion of Merit, the Distinguished Flying Cross and 6 Air Medals. He retired after 30 years of service and was recruited by Grumman International as Special Assistant to the President. Preceded in death by his first wife, Leslie Cooney Dibble and second wife, Louise Clarke Dibble (died 1994), surviving are his wife, Beverly Townsend Rawson Dibble (married 1997); children by Leslie, John, 3rd, (Mary Anne Shannon), Debbie (Sean) Sullivan, Leslie, Julie (Mark) Johnson; grandchildren and Beverly's children and grandchildren. A memorial service will be held November 30, 2012 at the Cocoa Beach Community Church in Cocoa Beach, FL. Burial will be at a later date.
