Donovan, 65, of Lynnfield and Pensacola, Fla., formerly of Saugus, died October 31, 2007, at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Patricia (Kane) Donovan. Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Charles and Alice (Stevenson) Donovan. Mr. Donovan served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Before moving to Lynnfield, he had been a resident of Saugus for many years and the former owner of the Airport Restaurant in Saugus. While residing in Florida, he was also the owner of the Saville Inn in Pensacola, Fla. In addition to his wife, Mr. Donovan leaves two sons, Brian Donovan of Florida and Matthew Donovan of Lynnfield; one daughter, Casie Donovan of Florida; two brothers, Bill Donovan of Washington and Timothy Donovan of Florida; two sisters, Patricia Lavoie of Georgia and Kathy Donovan of Hawaii; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held November 5 at the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home of Saugus, followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Lynnfield. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Stroke Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
