He was born in Jackson County on Jan. 2, 1930, the son of James Curtis and Volina Marshall Davis. Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Wanda L. Davis of the home; a daughter, Leta Moore and her husband, Tom, of St. Louis, Missouri; three brothers, Chester Davis and his wife, Lola, of Bald Knob, W. L. Davis and his wife, Helen, of Newport, and Howard Davis and his wife, Kathleen, of Searcy; three sisters, Dorotha Mingo of Newport, Betty Stites and her husband, Marshal, of Newport, E. Lee Pierce of O'Fallon, Ill.; and three grandchildren, Alexandra, Anna and Grace Moore, all of St. Louis, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary Davis and Viola Milligan; and two brothers, Curtis and James Davis. Funeral services were Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Russell United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Visitation was Friday at Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob-Judsonia. Box 1240, Bald Knob, AR, 72010. Harry Lee Davis, Jr THE GREENVILLE NEWS - Apr. 18, 2007 Harry Lee Davis, 72, of Greenville, S.C., died Saturday, April 14, 2007. Born in Greenville, S.C., he was the son of the late Harry Lee and Ethel O. Davis, Sr., and a member of San Souci Baptist Church. A Chief Warrant Officer, Mr. Davis was a career soldier of the U.S. Army, having served in Korea and Vietnam. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Davis of the home; one brother, Richard A. Davis of Greenville, S.C.; one grandchild; three stepgrandchildren; one great-grandchild; six stepgreat-grandchildren; and one stepgreat-great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his son, Mickael G. Davis. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 19, 2007, at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, with entombment to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held, prior to the service, from 12:30 to 2 p.m., at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to San Souci Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
