More detail on this person: I am writing to correct/supplement the information concerning Gary Denton. I have personal knowledge of this information, as I went to high school with Gary, joined the Marine Corps with him, served with him at times and maintained a close relationship with him and his wife until his death.

Gary was a Captain at the time of his death in a helicopter crash in Atlanta, GA. He had only a few months before he would have been released from active duty. Gary was survived by his wife, Lynn, and his infant child, Michael.

I do not recall the exact date of Gary's death, but it was in the summer of 1973. I do recall that Gary died on a Wednesday or Thursday, so July 1 (a Sunday) is not correct. He was buried in Gainesville, GA, our home town.

Gary flew out of DaNang in 1970. I don't know what unit, but he flew a CH-46.
