More detail on this person: Dannie Lee Dillard DILLARD Dannie Lee, age 39, born 4-1-47, died 5-31-86. He graduated from Mesa AZ. High School. He served 10 years in the regular Army as a helicopter pilot. He attained the rank of Captain and served 1 tour of duty in Viet Nam and 1 tour in Korea. After his discharge from the Army, he continued his career as a helicopter pilot. His duties took him to offshore work in Louisiana and the Oregon coast, where he first started doing long-line work. His work took him to Argentina, where he did seismic work, and to Alaska, where he did precision long-line work in construction of power lines on No Deal Island and the mainland. In April 1985, he moved to Louisiana, where he lived with his wife, Susan. He was Vice President of Operations of Skyline Air Service, Inc., a logging company in Louisiana. He just recently moved to Washington to work in the logging industry, where his wife was planning to join him. He is also survived by a daughter, Jennifer and son, Michael, both of Mesa AZ.; parents, Jene and Betty Edmonds of Yukon; maternal grandfather, B. Fay Abbott of Yukon; 3 brothers, Tommie of Hinton, Allen of OKC, and Stacy Edmonds of OKC; 2 sisters, Libby Goss of St. Louis and Tracie Edmonds of Yukon; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Services 2pm Thursday, Guardian West Chapel, interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
