More detail on this person: Paul A. Easlon Obituary: Paul Allen Easlon Sr. A memorial Service for Paul Allen Easlon Sr. will be held at 10 am July 11 in Forest Avenue Baptist Church of Redmond. Retired Navy Chaplin Bill Tidwell will officiate. Mr. Easton, a resident of Lamonta - an early pioneer settlement near Madras - died of a heart condition July 5 near Terrebonne. He was 63. He was born in Oklahoma City on Aug. 5, 1931, one of five children born to Charlie Clarence and Gertrude (Carter) Easlon. He served in the Army for 26 years and saw action in Korea and Vietnam as a helicopter pilot. He retired in 1972 and settled in Central Oregon. Mr. Easlon earned an associate of science degree in office machine technology from Central Oregon Community College. He had been employed by RAM Security for six years and spent a similar period of time as a guard at a now-closed Army base. He retired last year. He was a member of the International Order of Odd Fellows Lodge No. 218 of Bend. He enjoyed electronics and computer technology. On Nov. 10, 1052, he married Bobbie Smith in Prineville (Oregon). She survives at the family home in Lamonta. Other survivors include a daughter Carol Ann Elek of Redmond, sons Michael Wayne Easlon of Vernonia and Paul Allen Easlon Jr. of Bend, mother, Gertrude Easlon of Redmond, sisters Betty Mannahan of Kentucky and Dolores Tidwell of Poulsbo,Wash., and the grandchildren. His father, Charles Easlon preceded him in death. Deschutes Memorial Funeral Home is responsible for arrangements.
