More detail on this person: Wallace Carl French, 69, of Panama City, passed from this life on Thursday, December 11, 2014.

He was born February 26, 1945 in Panama City, the eldest son of Wallace H. and Dorothy M. French. He received a BA in accounting and an MBA from the University of West Florida. He was a CPA and shareholder with the French & French PA, CPA firm in Lynn Haven, FL. Wallace was an active member of the Panama City Beach Rotary Club and served a term as President. He was named a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International. He served a term as Regional Vice President of the Florida Institute of CPAs. He was a dedicated and longtime secretary/treasurer of the Hiland Park United Pentecostal Church. Wallace was a Chief Warrant Officer and helicopter pilot in U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam. He was awarded the Soldier's Medal, the Bronze Star and Air Medals.

Wallace enjoyed camping, boating, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. Most importantly he was an outstanding brother, a loving and dedicated husband, a wonderful daddy and an extraordinary papa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace H. and Dorothy French.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Monia French; son, Gregory French; daughter, Tammy (Charlie) Walker; three grandchildren, Gavin French, Cayla and Brooke Walker; two brothers, Dennis K. (Lucy) and Dariel D. (Renee) French; and one sister, Celia F. (Ronald) Ward.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Hiland Park United Pentecostal Church, 3024 N. Altha Ave., Panama City, FL 32405, with Rev. Don Shoots and Rev. Wilfred Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be Ken Noles, Chris Walker, Richard Frederick, Josh Ward, Keith Fennell and Shanen French. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel.
