More detail on this person: Robert W. Farrington FARRINGTON ROBERT W. Age 59, on Friday, February 27, 2004. Bob was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and a Vietnam Veteran. Bob served our nation proudly for over 20 years in the United States Army. He rose from the enlisted ranks to Chief Warrant Officer in the early 1970's. He was an Army Pilot, flying everything from helicopters to fised wing props, to jet aircraft. His last assignment in the Army before retirement, in February 1989, as a Chief Warrant Officer, was as senior instructor to the Saudi Arabian Air National Guard. Bob was a patriot in every sense of the word and was a role model for everyone in his family during his military career. He will be missed by all of us. His guidance, advice and support for all of us can never be replaced. God finally has a great co-pilot for all eternity. God Bless you Brother! Bob is survived by his siblings, Diane Jennings, William J. Farrington, Jr., James Hamel, nieces and nephews. Bob is predeceased by his parents, William J. Farrington, Sr. and Betty Farrington Hamel and brother, Jeffrey Hamel. A Memorial Service will be held at North Zion Lutheran Church, Brownsville Rd., Saturday, March 6, 2004 at 1 p.m. with full military graveside services to follow.
