More detail on this person: Edward Michael Fisher, 71, of West Dundee, passed away at St. Alexius Hospital on Oct. 21 after a long battle with lung cancer. He was a decorated Army Medevac helicopter pilot in Vietnam who was awarded two distinguished flying crosses, bronze star with V device, 15 air medals, and combat medic badge. He is survived by his daughter, Johanna Fisher of Kansas City, MO; niece Allison Steurtze of West Dundee; niece Sharon Alexander of Port Washington, WI; grand niece Stephanie Sawyer of Crystal Lake; and cousin Leonard Fisher of Northbrook. A private memorial service will be held for family members. Please make any contributions to Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine for cancer research.
