More detail on this person: Gerald "Jerry" Fraioli, son of the late Antonio and Rose Fraioli and longtime resident of Harrison passed away unexpectedly at his new home in Bluffton SC on July 16th 2016. He is survived by his brother Anthony and his wife Jillian, niece Dawn her husband Carl, nephew Marc his wife Missy, his grand-nieces Malia and Keala, and his grand-nephews Kyle and Ryan.Gerald graduated from Harrison High School in 1957 and the University of Denver in 1962 with a BS degree in Business Administration. Upon graduation he entered the USMC earning his aviation wings as a USMC Helicopter pilot and retired from active duty as a Marine Captain in 1965. While in the corps he was stationed in Vietnam where he was awarded a Purple Heart and 32 air medals. Upon discharge from USMC he joined the reserves retiring with the rank of Major. His aviation career in the corps fostered a passion that spurred a career in aviation. He became an Eastern Airline pilot upon termination of active duty and retired as a Boeing 727 Captain with Eastern in 1992. Upon retirement, he continued to enjoy flying aircraft. Gerald lived a life he loved and cherished his freedom to ride motorcycles, race cars and was always there to lend a helping hand with his mechanical expertise. He will be missed by friends, family and fellow corps members. The Fraioli family will receive family and friends on Friday, October 14, from 7 to 9pm at COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME 767 E. Boston Post Rd. Mamaroneck. 914-698-5968, where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10am, followed by interment at St. Mary's in Port Chester.
