More detail on this person: He fell down some steps at home and broke his neck. He was without oxygen for a long period of time and his heart stopped but he was resuscitated by the EMTs. In accordance with his wishes which were spelled out in his living will and the advice of the doctors, he was removed from the ventilator and he passed within 45 minutes.

On a good note, family was able to fly in from Texas and Germany to be by his side when he passed.
