More detail on this person: It is with heavy heart that I write you today. My lifelong buddy of 74 1/2 years has passed away at the age of 75. No details on the cause yet. He was in hospital in Gainesville FL when he died the evening of Jan1, 2009.

Born in Detroit, MI, on December 25, 1933, he was the son of Col. G.R. Greene US Army (retired). Graduated from St. Anthony's High School and joined the Army as an enlisted man. He applied for and got his wings for fixed wing and flew a 30 month tour in Nam as an observer, Re-enlisting, he applied for and received his Helo certification from Ft. Rucker, serving another 30 months in Nam in Huey B's and D's. He remains an honored and cherished memory for me.

His passing is deeply regretted. His Huey was the "White Knight" with nose art of the helmet and plume of a Knight, in white.

Please pass this on to his many friends in the VHPA Association.

From: Lawrence N. Reed ( US Army 2 year guy)
