More detail on this person: MAJ Carl William Gustke Jr (Ret), 63 of Granbury, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011 at the VITAS Hospice unit in Baylor All Saints Medical Center of Fort Worth. MAJ Gustke (Ret) served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1987. As an infantry soldier and helicopter pilot during multiple tours in Vietnam, he was awarded the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, as well as two Purple Hearts. He received his Bachelor's degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, advanced to the rank of Major and retired from the military at Fort Hood.
