More detail on this person: JAMES S. GAHAGAN James Stuart Gahagan went to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ April 23, 2002. A native of Alexandria, Va., Mr. Gahagan was the son of the late Robert Todd Gahagan and Millicent Barrett Gahagan. Mr. Gahagan is survived by his wife, Barbara B. Gahagan; a son, James Stuart Gahagan Jr. and wife, Cheryl Hubbard Gahagan; a granddaughter, Laura Grace Gahagan; two daughters, Elizabeth Olszewski of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Victoria Pritchett of Raleigh, N.C.; a brother, Dr. Robert Barrett Gahagan and wife, Patti, of Morgantown, N.C.; several nephews, their wives and a niece and her family. Mr. Gahagan served as a naval aviator with the U.S. Marine Corps for 21 years. Upon retiring from the military he worked for Hampton Roads Sanitation District and retired as chief of customer service in 1997. He was a member of Virginia Beach Community Chapel. As an avid golfer he enjoyed coaching the Norfolk Christian Golf Team for a number of years. A funeral will be held at Virginia Beach Community Chapel Friday at 1 p.m. with burial at Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, today from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Virginia Beach Community Chapel Missions, 1261 Laskin Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23451.
