More detail on this person: James Gersky and I worked together in a Supply function at our unit. Jim Gersky was the units Supply Officer and I was the Tech Supply Specialist (SP5). Jim and I served with the 21st Signal Group's Aviation Detachment in Nha Trang, 68-69. Jim was an excellent pilot, that I can attest to, he successfully landed a Huey that had an engine failure at 3,000 feet over An Khe in August of 1969. Jim and I perfected the art of getting repair parts by means other the normal Supply request format. We couldn't allow our birds to remain on the tarmac while missions needed to be run throughout our II Corp area in the Central Highlands.

I'm really sad to hear that he's been gone for 11 years. May he rest in peace.
