More detail on this person: Stanley Hudson 1939-2014 MINEOLA-Memorial services for Stanley Darrell Hudson, 74, were held April 22 with Rev. James Wheat officiating. Mr. Hudson died April 17, 2014, in Mineola. He was born October 24, 1939, in Bonham. He was a 1958 graduate of Mineola High School, served in the U.S. Army and later worked for Missouri Pacific Railroad. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Ginger and a brother. Survivors include three sons, Dean Hudson, Quitman, David Hudson, Tyler and Danny Hudson, Georgetown and a daughter, Suzanna (Sana) Schneider, Lago Vista; 10 grandchildren and other relatives. Stanley Darrell Hudson Stanley Darrell Hudson, age 74, died Thursday, April 17, 2014 in Mineola, TX. He was born on Tuesday, October 24, 1939 in Bonham, TX. He attended Mineola High School (Class of 1958), where he was a fullback with the Yellow Jackets football team. After graduating High School, he married his childhood sweetheart, Ginger Dean, on Saturday, November 29, 1958. He then attended Texas Tech/Arlington College. He started his career in the Army in 1960. He was stationed in Fulda, Germany from 1960-1963. This was his first of many overseas assignments. From 1963 to 1972 he went through Officer Candidate School, Army Aviation Rotary Wing School, to be a pilot, and various other schools. He was stationed in various locations around the world including one tour of duty in Vietnam and achieving the rank of Captain. From 1972 until 1980 he was a fireman/engineer with the Missouri Pacific railroad in Mineola, TX. In 1980 Stan was recalled by the Army, this time as a Chief Warrant Officer and helicopter pilot. From 1980 to 1992 he again went through various training and duty stations, both overseas and stateside, until his retirement as a Chief Warrant Officer III. With their retirement, Stan and Ginger, had their adventures lead them back to their hometown of Mineola. Stan went back to school to finish his Associates degree in Industrial Safety. They also took on new roles as grandparents. Stan always had a love of traveling, bird watching, gardening, cooking, football, racing, and anything related to the military. Stan was preceded in death by his wife, Ginger, of 53 years and his brother Kenneth. He is survived by his three sons and one daughter; ten grandchildren, plus one on the way; and also numerous nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Burial: Cremated, Ashes given to family or friend.
