A bit about Joe: He was one of two African
-American students in our class. Joe was the
quiet, unassuming guys when the Civil Rights
movement was at at it's peak. I do know that he
raised a wonderful family. He had a beautiful wife
who preceded him on death. He missed our first
class reunion because his grandson graduated from
Drexel and then went to Europe for another one's
graduation.
If anyone deserves a tremendously fitting tribute,
Joe certainly does. He was truly an icon. I only
wish I could provide more info for a truly
OUTSTANDING man.
Joe was a classmate who should be recognized
with honor. After his return from RVN, he became
an instructor at Ft Rucker. At a 65-8W class
reunion at Rucker, we learned that he had been
recognized there with over 22,000 hours. At age
70, he was still enjoying his work as an examiner
there.
