More detail on this person: William H. "Bill" HOWELL 71, of Treasure Island, quietly joined his loving parents Bill and Catherine Howell Aug. 18, 2017. Bill was born in Nyack, NY on December 2nd, 1945 and moved to St. Pete Beach in 1960. He was a devoted father to Dan and Carey (Howe). He loved his grandchildren, Peyton, Chelsea and Carly. He is survived by his son, Dan (wife Mary); his daughter, Carey (husband Will Howe); grandchildren; former wife and always dear friend Susan; his siblings; Bryan, Nancy (Higgins), and Don. He graduated from Boca Ciega High School in 1963 and graduated from Florida State University in 1967. He honorably served the Army in Vietnam as a Captain and helicopter pilot and was awarded a Purple Heart, Bronze Star, and other medals. After his service, Bill was a successful Real Estate Investor and Developer. He was a good man and will be missed by many. A memorial service held at the Bay Pines National Cemetery at 3 pm on Sept. 29th and a life celebration following at the St. Pete Beach Community Center.
