More detail on this person: John Milton Held An engineer-contractor, John Milton Held, 50, died at home in Vancouver Tuesday, April 23, 1996, of cancer. He had resided in Vancouver for the past six years. Mr. Held, born Dec. 12, 1945, in Des Moines, Iowa, was a helicopter pilot in the Vietnam War. He is survived by one daughter, Karly Held of Friendswood, Texas; one son, Kevin of Friendswood; two brothers, Phillip of Atherton, Calif., and Marc of Troutdale, Ore.; and his special companion, Mary Held, at home. A memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 19 at the family cabin by the Washougal River. Brown's Funeral Home in Camas is in charge of arrangements.
