More detail on this person: Former Alaska Resident WILLIAM JOE HALM 55, died Nov. 12, 2000, in Santa Clara, Utah. A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Santa Clara Latter-day Saints Stake Center. Interment will be in the Santa Clara City Cemetery. Mr. Halm was born Jan. 10, 1945, in Blair, Neb., to Joe Edward and Mary Jean Halm. He came to Alaska in 1945 and was reared in Anchorage. While living here, he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family. He left Alaska in 1960. He married Carol Norine Fullmer on Oct. 19, 1989, in Seattle. Mr. Halm was a helicopter pilot in the Vietnam War and earned the Distinguished Flying Cross. At the time of his death, he was a captain with American Airlines. Mr. Halm was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His family said: "Bill loved his wife and children dearly." He is survived by his wife, Carol; children Helen Marie and Eric; parents Jean and Joe Halm of Honolulu; and sisters, Bonnie Johnson of Fairbanks and Mary Jo Comins of Eugene, Ore
