More detail on this person: I am Kirby's brother. Kirby A. Hamilton, served as a Warrent Officer and Pilot from October 1968 to October 1969 with the 189th in Vietnam. I do not know which aircraft he piloted (I wish I did).

He died in El Paso while on active duty on May 25, 1971. Stationed at Ft. Bliss at the time. He and two other men were flying low-level harassment maneuvers when their aircraft crashed, killing all three. He was made a Captain post-humously.

I got his birthdate wrong. It was November 22, 1948.

And he recieved his Captain's bars prior to his death, following his graduation from Officer Candidate School.

His service number was: W3162061

Thanks for posting his bio.

Paul Hamilton
