More detail on this person: ROBERT (ACE) D. HANLON 1930 2009 HEMET ROBERT (ACE) D. HANLON Passed away peacefully on November 17, 2009 in Hemet, California. Bob was born on July 29, 1930 in Sterling, Kansas to Earl and Marie Hanlon. He graduated from Kansas State University and married the love of his life, Joanie, in 1952. He served in the Air Force for 20 years, retiring at March Air Force Base. He then went on to teach high school and elementary school for 8 years. Bob led a very active life, enjoying time with his family, working outdoors and many other activities including jogging, horseback riding, and golf. After his retirement he and Joanie became avid golfers. They lived in Aguanga for 21 years before moving to San Jacinto in 2002. Bob is survived by his very devoted and loving wife, Joanie; brother, Willis (Marolyn) Hanlon; three children, Chris (Sandy) Hanlon, Mark (Judy) Hanlon and Marty (Tom) Buck; seven grandchildren, Sean, Jessica, Tyler, Tara, Matt, Nathan and Travis. Bob was much loved and will be missed by his family and friends. There will be a graveside service at 10:45am, Tuesday, November 24th at Riverside National Cemetery.
