More detail on this person: Mr Curtis W Hardy, 47 OBITUARIES Daily Press (Newport News, VA) - Tuesday, May 19, 1992 LOUDON, N.H. - Curtis W. Hardy, 47, a former Peninsula resident, died Thursday, May 7. An Army veteran, Mr. Hardy retired as a major after 20 years of service. He was a helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War and also served at Fort Eustis. For the past six years, he had been the administrator of the Bureau of Common Carriers for the New Hampshire Department of Safety. Mr. Hardy was a graduate of Concord High School and received his bachelor of science degree from Hampton Institute in 1974. Survived by his wife, Detra Willbanks Hardy; three daughters, Christine Echohardt of Altamonte Springs, Fla., and Samantha Hardy and Jennifer Hardy of Loudon; a son, Tyrone Hardy of Clovis, Calif.; his mother, Jean Hardy of Loudon; and two brothers, Jeffrey Hardy of Loudon and Sgt. 1st Class Albert Hardy of Augusta, Ga. Memorial service was held Tuesday at Loudon Congregational Church, Loudon. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Loudon. Memorials to Town of Loudon Recreation Department, c/o Detra Hardy, P.O.
