More detail on this person: Melton L. Hinton, 60, (obit) Boeing logistics analyst Melton L. Hinton, 60, of Brookhaven, a logistics analyst at Boeing Helicopters, died May 14 at Taylor Hospital. Born in Gunnison, Miss., Mr. Hinton resided in Brookhaven for the last three years. Prior to that, he resided in Tacoma, Wash. Mr. Hinton was a logistics analyst at Boeing for the last nine years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army for 32 years, retiring in 1989 as a Chief Warrant Officer. Mr. Hinton is survived by his wife of 39 years, Marcie Collier Hinton of Brookhaven; three sons, Charles J. Hinton of Rapid City, S.D., U.S. Air Force Capt. Donald D. Hinton of Spokane, Wash., and U.S. Air Force Capt. Michael W. Hinton of Hampton, Va.; three sisters, Pat Riley and Alandra Baily, both of Houston, Texas, and Bette Romig of New Orleans, La.; two brothers, Russell Smith of Fargo, N.D., and John W. Hinton of Birmingham, Ala.; and four grandchildren. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bateman Funeral Home, 4220 Edgmont Ave., Brookhaven. Burial will be 3 p.m. Tuesday in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va. Calling hours are from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
