More detail on this person: John W. Humphreys Lt. Col. John W. Humphreys, U.S. Army retired, age 53, died in Panama City, FL. He is survived by one daughter, Pam Bearden; two grandchildren; one sister, Rebecca Webb of Richmond; two brothers, Ran Humphreys of Panama City, FL. and William Humphreys of White Stone. Col. Humphreys served with distinction in Korea and three tours of duty in Vietnam before his retirement from the Army. Following his retirement he was employed at Kilmarnock Post Office and recently was associated with Allied Business Machines of Panama City. Remains rest at the Elmore & Haynie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock, where services will be held 4 P.M. Tuesday with interment in Arlington National Cemetery 1 P.M. Wednesday with military honors.
